So you’ve just (re)installed windows and you want to populate an empty computer with the hundreds of applications you need and use.
However, you shudder at the thought of having to visit the websites of all these applications, download them and install them manually.
Worry not! Help is at hand.
So what does Ninite do?
Ninite simply lets you choose a list of applications on their website and provides you with an installer that downloads and installs all these programs without any user intervention!
All you have to do is:
- Go to the Ninite website.
- Tick all the applications you want from the expansive list on the page.
Click Get Installer
Download and run the installer.
- Your apps are now installed!
It’s that simple!
Ninite has more advanced features, such as download caching, network caching and a silent installer mode.
These features are slated to appear in paid versions of Ninite in the future.
But for now, you can create a folder called “NiniteCache” right next to the installer, and it will use this folder to cache the installer files of all the applications it downloads.
To start it in silent mode, run the installer on the command line with the /silent switch.
And that’s all there is to it! No need to even install it!
